NY Times promptly reports on Border Patrol movements, because Cartel scouts can't be everywhere.

I don’t know why they didn’t do this as soon as they had to start releasing illegals into the country.

It is getting horrible around here. The hospitals are overwhelmed. Greyhound won’t let them ride on their buses anymore, and in a case of, dare I say revenge, 1000s of them are being released in El Paso, the city where the mayor is against the wall.

For the first time since the Bush administration we saw evidence of 2 of them crossing our land. BP agents are afraid for their lives and their health.

It is like the Mariel boat lift in that they are catching soooo many criminals...lots of sex offenders.

Just great. /s
Now smugglers and drug traffickers have a straight shot from El Paso up the Rio Grande Valley on I-25 to Albuquerque then east on I-40 or up to Denver. Same with the I-10 checkpoints east and west of El Paso.

(Of course this could be a false flag to reopen them on a random schedule to catch those who think they now have freedom to travel.)

Wasn’t there a guy who ran for President promising to stop the invasion? Wish that guy was in office.

MAR 23, 2019

“We were told to go ahead and close down all the checkpoints,” one official
said Saturday morning. Agents assigned to checkpoints were told they
would be sent indefinitely to assist in efforts to process and transport
hundreds of families and unaccompanied children crossing the border each
day in El Paso, a surge that is overwhelming available resources. “It’s
really out of control. It’s bad,” the official said. A Border Patrol
spokesman said the agency was preparing a statement on the checkpoint
issue but as of Saturday evening the agency hadn’t responded to Texas
Monthly inquiries.

I-8 checkpoint 9 miles east of Yuma AZ is closed. It was open sporadically the last two weeks, but it’s been shut down until further notice. I go through there everyday on the way to work.

In all my years of driving across states, I have never run into a BP Checkpoint. What does that look like? Do they ask “papers please?”

Closest thing I can think of is the fruit check in and out of CA. Oh, I guess I have seen a livestock check between Wyoming and Utah or Colorado, maybe.

Are these BP Checkpoints inside the 7-11 or on the sidewalk outside Home Depot?

they have them in west Texas about 100 miles or so from the border. And yes, they ask for ID, ask questions, bring dogs up to sniff the car ect. They stop everyone, even the few locals that live in the area.

the one I am talking about is just West of Del Rio on the interstate. Nothing beyond that to the west except rocks and dust (we have a family ranch out in the middle of that nothing on the Rio Grande about an hour west of that check point) lol

Not I-10 according to the article

At a checkpoint on U.S. Highway 62/180 about 30 miles east of El Paso
in Hudspeth County, orange cones that usually are used to funnel motorists
off the highway and into the checkpoint had been repositioned Saturday
evening to block the entrance to the checkpoint.
