House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) organized a meeting with House Democrats scheduled after the Easter weekend to discuss what to do next in response to the release of Robert Mueller’s long-awaited redacted report.
Pelosi asked for the conference call to take place on Monday in a letter to Democrats. In her letter, Pelosi described the special counsel’s findings as a “grave matter.”
The speaker also said the nature in which the Justice Department released the findings was “disrespectfully late” and “selectively redacted.”
“The Caucus is scheduling a conference call for Monday to discuss this grave matter, which is as soon as our analysis and this Holy Season’s religious traditions allow,” Pelosi said.
“Congress will not be silent,” she concluded.

My thinking exactly, if they just found out what the result of the investigation was they are seriously asleep at the wheel and have no business running the affairs of others.

The fact that the Democrats have virtually nothing to run on will become a grave matter for them in 2020. They are fixated and obsessed on impeaching Trump.
That’s all they have to offer the American people. No positive ideas, no constructive legislation, and no accomplishments. I wouldn’t want to run on that ‘platform’. If they keep this up they will get slaughtered in a defeat of truly historic proportions.

That is true. A barrage of very bad news is coming their way and it will be stretched out over a long time given all the investigations running in the background. The Dems know what’s coming. I think your point is valid; they are going to try to go on offense to stave off the coming waves of bad news.
However, that also ties them up so that they can’t produce anything positive to run on. Its all negative, all the time. They are the party of vengeance, vitriol and vituperation. Americans won’t vote for that.
Nancy has a problem. The hair on fire crazies in her caucus see the Mueller report as proof that Trump should be impeached by the Monty Python and the Holy Grail logic of weighing an accused witch against a duck. The more rational members know going down the impeachment road will kill their prospects for winning the presidency in 2020. I doubt Nancy can keep the crazies in check. They will continue with hearings and investigations and will possibly even draw up articles of impeachment before the 2020 election. The American public at large will have none of it. They were hoodwinked by the media for two years into believing the Mueller investigation would sink Trump and then nothing when the report came out. They will show their displeasure in November 2020
They are scared spitless about the left shoe dropping on Hillary, Soetoro, et al in the evil misuse of the entire Soetoro Intelligence Apparatus against a political opponent.
You see, For Better or For Worse, for right or wrong, for sane or insane, the Democrats Unite and get their thinking and talking points onto the same page. There is no consideration that one or more of them may be shamed by repeating the exact words of another one of them. They conduct exercises to get all of their thinking and talking onto the same page. Maybe it seems stupid, maybe it seems banal, but the net result is they end up with a unified message. This is something that the Republicans never ever do. The cost would be a conference call. The results of the Republicans failing to do this is, they have a shattered, diffuse message, one very often contradicting another. And I find it frustrating as I’m sure most others do, that they cannot make this obvious effort. The great and brilliant Karl Rove can’t seem to assemble this line of thinking. Neither can the great Eeince Priebus, although he seemed closer.
