Today folks think it’s all Bollywood and cheery Patels behind the counter at every Sleep Inn or Independent gas station

That not indicative of the India I saw in Delhi and Bombay and Goa mid 80s

The disparity was the greatest of anywhere I traveled which was everywhere except the iron curtain

Haiti was maybe worse but had less disparity

Maybe India has changed or does it just have more rich people than before

I just don't care. As long as Modi is either West-aligned & kissing the ring OR scared shitless of what we can do to his lifeline exports of pirated MS libraries -- or some satisfactory blend of both -- f him and the entire subcontinent.

Modi is there to be used as a wedge against China; and also as the weakest link in the BRIC...as long as he knows when to heel I'm satisfied.
