Hi, radu!

Was it a pretty day there? Did the fireworks tent open so you could drool over and then buy some of all the goodies they have this year?

I used to live down the road, closer to Brownsville Marina. Loved visiting the museum at Keyport, and of course Whiskey Creek.

A very pleasant good Tuesday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks Lauren for this morning's thread.

How's everyone doing this morning?

Howdy, LUV.

It looked pretty through the windows today but was ugly to step out into. HOT and very muggy, and going to get more so as the week progresses.

I did head to the fireworks tent this evening and have the goodies in Clara’s living room, ready for Thursday. Turns out the guy WAS there last night but I couldn’t see him where he was sitting. If he’d just stood up or even raised his hand to wave I’d have seen him. *sigh*
We had a nice chat. He’s the fella who first opened at that location but he turned operations over to his son a few years ago. Tonight’s the first time I’ve seen him since then.

How are things down your way? Still reasonably warm or is it getting unbearably hot again?

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Were you able to get all the mowing done yesterday? Any energy left for keeping up with Gizmo at the lake or did you have to cut that trip short? :-)

We got all the mowing done yesterday. We had the picnic tables to ourselves for most of the visit but then, a family came over to the boat dock and to our spot so we left but we did get to hang around.

I had a couple of wasps catch me by surprise and sting me. It was painful for a few minutes but then it went away. I slept really good last night.

The parts for the front end alignment arrived yesterday. I will be going up there tomorrow (Wednesday) at 7:30 AM

Good on getting the mowing finished. Now you don’t have to worry about it for a little while.

Nice that you had solitude at the picnic area for a little while. Too bad the family showed up to ruin the peace and quiet but it sounds like if they hadn’t run you off, those wasps would have any way. OUCH! Good thing you aren’t allergic to their stings!

Just be sure to check for any more wasp nests before you sit down. Don’t want a repeat!

Hey! You know, I thought I answered you last night. Guess I started the post and then got sidetracked. Easy for me at 2am. LOL!

I think we got your muggy today, but it’s cloudy so not as hot as it could be. If only the clouds were muggy enough to prosuce rain. *sigh*

It’s not as hot as last week. Thank goodness! Hope it’s not too hot over there for you to get out and enjoy your fireworks. That silly man! What kind of business is that where they sit where no one can see them. LOL! I guess I worked retail too long that had rules about stuff like that.

Bummer you’re getting the muggy and not rain out of the deal. Join the club1 LOL! That’s what we’re getting today too. We MIGHT get a little shower but we aren’t holding our breath. One just went by a mile or so north of us, durn it.
At least there are enough clouds rolling by that the sun gets blocked fairly often and that helps the house stay a little cooler.

It’ll be plenty hot Thursday but once the sun goes down, it’ll cool off enough to be comfy for fireworks. Just have to hope for NO rain since chances will be higher that day.

It’s cooler here and still cloudy. It’s 86 and the humidity is 39%, which is a bit high when we’re used to something under 10%.

Now, I’m off to take a nap because I didn’t sleep good last night. Hubby let Peaches in and he was wanting to be petted all night. sigh

See ya later! Quiz night!

The Naval Undersea Museum is located in Keyport - outside the gate to get into the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport. (Admission is free - and there are some interesting ‘artifacts’ outside the museum, because they are just too big to be inside....like the sail of a submarine, the Trieste II, and a section of Sealab.

In downtown Bremerton, outside the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard - there is the Puget Sound Navy Museum...and at the waterfront near the Bremerton Ferry Terminal (again -adjacent to PSNS) - there is the Naval Museum Ship - the ex-USS Turner Joy.
