So, we’re paying for baby daddy’s upkeep, hers and the kids. When the kids reach puberty, we’ll be paying for their babies and baby mamas/daddys. Never ending cycle.

A few decades back, I worked for about 5 years as a social worker in state and federal housing projects. The residents schooled me in how/when/where to apply and stay on benefits. From their youngest age, fatherless kids grow up learning the social welfare system. This is their job training and what they learn is how to avoid responsibility. Harsh? Sure. Socialism does that to a person.
I never asked her about that. I worked for the State Dept. of Human Services right out of high school. Back then a woman couldn’t draw welfare if she had a man living in the house. It didn’t take long for them to figure out they could pop out a kid each year until they were too old and make a good check on each kid. That’s a win,win for the sperm donor. We always went after the father’s for child support but it rarely happened. That was before DNA testing and the “fathers” never knew nuffin’ about nuffin’ and never saw that woman before. Paternity was hard to prove back in those days if he wasn’t on the birth certificate. Welfare as an occupation is a huge scam, then and now.
An unwed woman who has a child is perhaps a mistake. If she has five, then it is recklessness. She is responsible for her own poverty. We need, for their own good, to start again shaming pre-marital sex and illegitimacy. Aid to unwed women with children should be limited to widows. Stop the subsidies for illegitimacy and irresponsible behavior. The message from society should be a loud: Get married and be responsible!

As a reformed social worker, I saw grandmothers, mothers and teenage daughters in public housing. If you’re a teen and you have a fight with your mother, get pregnant. Then you get your own apartment plus WIC, EBT, etc, etc. This is how the system maintains its permanent and dependent underclass.

The oldest is about to age out of payments, so she needs to replace them with a new one to keep her income even.
