History repeats, but never the same.
This is not a “war between the states” sort of thing. It is more like the Russian and French revolutions, except a lot of very serious and very well armed people will be fighting against a bunch of spoiled brats that simply have zero stomach for this sort of thing.
I don’t expect it to be much of a “shooting” war. More of a Chicago, 1968 thing, but more widespread and probably shorter.
Yes, I watched “The Last Czars” on Netflix and when the White and Red Russians started duking it out it made me wonder what ours (if it happens) might look like. Of course, they had already mobilized armies, etc., but I agree ours will be more urban, guerilla warfare than anything else. I have no illusions that there will be pitched battles.
