I wish that I could un-know that Jr. killed an elephant. I just hope it’s untrue. Otherwise, he is disgusting and I’ve lost all respect.

Well, he's not been elected to anything and really affects your life not at all.

Maybe an elephant beat him up as a child.

Maybe an elephant stomped all over his bike.

Why are you so judgmental?

Try to investigate the context; likely there’s considerably more to the story.

Needs repeating.

“Shooting that elephant fed an entire village for more than a month. It provided income for 25 families for a year.
Because the elephant was a raging bull shooting it saved the lives of villagers who would have been trampled during its rampage.
The population of elephants in this particular area exceeds the ability of the environment to support them. Herds are reduced by wildlife specialists who sell very expensive licenses to hunt specific animals.
Trump. Jr. provided a necessary and very valuable service to the local population with this hunting trip.”

Elephants are a resource that needs to be utilized properly. Otherwise, if they have no value to the locals, they will be exterminated.

The local peoples raise cattle, plant crops, and build shelter to survive. If the elephants threaten this, and do not contribute to the peoples survival, they will kill them all.

If you are worried about where your next meal is coming, and
all you have in the world is threatened by elephants trampling your land and shelter, and eating all your crops, they are not that beautiful. Only people who are spoiled like we are in America worry about animals more than people.

You do not know what you are talking about.
Try becoming at least somewhat educated about game management in Africa, or everywhere for that matter.

Oh, and I worked over two years in boondocks Africa and have traveled all over the continent.

I think you may be short on facts and long on feelings in your negative judgment.

Read post #17 on this thread for the REST OF THE STORY, as Paul Harvey used to say.
