Attorney General William P. Barr issued the following statement:
“I was appalled to learn that Jeffrey Epstein was found dead early this morning from an apparent suicide while in federal custody. Mr. Epstein’s death raises serious questions that must be answered. In addition to the FBI’s investigation, I have consulted with the Inspector General who is opening an investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Epstein’s death."

Therefore, this investigation is a scam - Barr and all DOJ under orders to cover up, er, ‘investigate’. Any investigation only serves to ID what else is out there, then bottle that up, to protect DC.

Why hasn’t Maxwell been arrested, indicted and her home raided like Epstein? She is walking free. She is the one that brought the girls to Epstein. Makes no sense why no raid or arrest.

And even though I much prefer Mr. Barr to Sessions, does he really think a thorough investigation will be accomplished and results implicating any one complicit in the death will be outed and answer for their rolls?
Please Mr. Barr, the FBI isn’t a very competent agency these days and the IG investigation will take a couple of years. By then the public’s appetite will for the most part sated.

I would have more confidence if we would see some indictments—Lerner, Comey. And all the rest. Maybe some senior officials in Obama administration, reassigning or firing people like Wray. Think about it, no indictments, no prosecutions of any government official. That undermines everything that these people can and do act with impunity.
Not since Jack Ruby gunned down Lee H. Oswald has there been a death so likely to fuel conspiracy theories.
While I can understand the explosion of conspiracy theories over this, my gut says that Occam’s razor applies. It is far more likely that one or more people dropped the ball and Epstein was able to kill himself. But in situations like this, truth and facts quickly become meaningless. There is a certain percentage of the population with a predisposition to conspiracy theorism who have long since decamped to their own “24” alternate reality, and they aren’t coming home. But when things happen that look so bloody awful, it can push otherwise reasonable people into that dark alternative universe, at least when dealing with the given subject. The murder of President Kennedy being a prime example.
Would be nice eh? But I suspect everyone involved with Hillary and Comey were given immunity.
