The first thing Mr. Barr should ascertain is whether the dead body is actually that of Mr. Epstein. That will tell him what kind of investigation to undertake.

Without evidence that the Mr. Epstein is actually dead he might just be wasting time and risking the safety of somebody in the Witness Protection Program.

If Mr. Epstein is dead, then there are many questions to be investigated.
