And I think they have the stupit sore loser law.
So if he wants to go the Lieberman route, he has to do it before the primary.

That is what I recommend. The GOP would hafta cooperate. Like they did for Joe. I didn’t support the liebermmman thing here.

It’s important to understand the district an office holder comes from. I worked in the district she comes from. Admittedly it was almost forty years ago. It’s a fever swamp. But I could tell you then as now if you were to ask the residents of her district what the government owes them they’ll tell you it owes them everything. That’s what put her in office. She’s a socialist and as Lenin stated ‘’the goal of socialism is communism’’. Dismiss her at your peril. Warren is no different. She just does a better job at hiding it. But the aim is the same with the Democrat Party.

Believe me when I say that after Trump, when ever that is, we’re not going to be able to vote our way out of what’s coming.

I can't imagine Lipinski becoming a Republican. His dad is an old school lifelong Chicago RAT and I believe is still Democrat committeeman of the 23rd ward to this day. Lipinski switching to the GOP would be more awkward than lifelong southern RATs from the bible belt becoming Republicans in the 80s and 90s, though it would be for similar ideological reasons in that the RATs can't tolerate ANY social conservatives in their party.

Of course the southern RATs switching did so because their states were becoming heavily Republican so it became impossible for them to continue getting elected with a "D" next to their name in the general election. Lipinski would be becoming Republican in a state where the Chicago area has become almost entirely one-party RAT, which carries its own risks. I think the 3rd Congressional District is almost entirely suburban now though, but technically Lipinski would be running as a Republican in a "Chicago district". Weird.

Going to Lieberman route would be running in the general election as an "Independent Democrat" with his own made-up political party ("Illinois for Lipiniski Party"? lol... if I were him I'd call it the Alan Dixon Democrats). I suppose that's possible if he dropped out now and became an Independent member of Congress. In theory he could split the RAT vote and a Republican could win the district with 34% of the vote, but probably the results would be similar to Lieberman where most of the Republicans in the 3rd District would vote for Lipinski so the end totals would be something like Lipinski (I)-47%, Newman (D)-45%, Fricilone (R) - 7%

“Granted, she did come into the job with a major skill set of sheer stupidity.”

I doubt that anyone so young has ever entered government at such a high level with such an amazing ability to not just act but BE stupid! She is giving Joe Biden strong competition in the idiot department and Joe is three times her age and was trained in stupidity by one of the all time greats. AOC may be the all time champion stupid congressperson but maybe not she does face some world class competition from other demorats.

Yes, I definitely think Lipinski will lose the rat primary unless other liberals split the vote with Newman. There is already a Republican candidate, member of the Will County board, they don’t want that Nazi to get nominated again. I could support a Lipinski “I” bid, I guess.

GOP supporting Liarman was foolish, a real GOP candidate instead of the gambling addict or whoever that got nominated could have eked out a 3-way race even in 2006.

Sore loser laws are a good thing IMO, god damn Lisa Murkowski.

IL-3 is actually more GOP for President than IL-10, IL-10, or IL-11 I do believe.

But that chunk of Chi makes a GOP getting 50% seem a hard sell.

3-way GOP winner would be a one-termer. Hell it would probably mean the district gets abolished in 2022, better it than a Republican district.

Not positive but I think it’s about a couple months before the primary (March 17) after which the ballot is set and you can’t withdraw.

Dude hopped on S.S. Impeachment...

There are several Democrats running to the far left in IL-03; hopefully they will pull enough votes from Newman to let Lipinski skate again.
