What I was thinking as well. “Tactical vest” ain’t exactly body armor despite the “look”.

True. Folks think a chest rig or an Alice pack is ‘armour.’

more likely a plate carrier with nothing in it. A solid head shot = DRT, not running and dieing in the alley way.

“Shoot ‘em out of the saddle” meaning fire up the pelvis area. No one runs away with a shattered pelvis. The target is as wide as the body trunk and doesn’t jink and bob like the head either.

” the suspect allegedly walked in about 2:30 a.m.”
“Allegedly”? So was it 2:30 or not? There must be cameras all over the place with time stamps. This “alleged” stuff is wearing me out.

I shoot eagles, cranes, doves, hawks and sparrows that are in flight.
More challenging and more like shooting in their direction...
So far, I am 0 for 30 boxes. LOL

I used this same type of line when my mom-in-law bought a small J-frame in 32H&R. I had been teaching her a chest hold because she was so small and the recoil not to brisk. I had her concentrate on the belt buckle.
When she asked why I was teaching her that shot, I told her, "You're going to be under a lot of stress if you have to shoot, and you will pull your shots low. I don't know a man alive who is going to take a shot in the balls and stay on their feet."

Was there a gun free sign? Didn’t the filth see it? Maybe construction work obscured it?

Journalism is NOT the repository of America’s intellectual firepower.
My wife was on local news this week trying to get armed security for charter schools in our district. The regular public schools already have it.
The reporter’s idea of balance was showing my wife speaking for it at the schoolboard meeting, and then uncritically showing the district superintendent say why we couldn’t have it.
Hello? Shouldn’t an “on your side” reporter have been asking “how can we get it” instead of showing “why you can’t have it?”

Did the guy use a weapon stolen from Dick’s Sporting Goods-—and it was partially melted down and malfunctioned?

The security guard was immediately fired for his violation of Apples firearms policy The only thing he should be fired for is giving first aid to the culprit... Apple will probably (eventually) have to pay out millions for medical malpractice by an employee...

Reports of people wearing body armor are almost always wrong. 9 out of 10 times it's just a tactical vest with lots of cool looking pouches and velcro, but no kevlar or plates.
Have noticed that too - media always finds a way to insert that in, accurate or not. Methinks it's a dead giveaway that armor is also high on the list to get banned eventually. Another odd thing is the local news outlets report on every shooting no matter where it occurred - we see stuff that happened hundreds of miles away from here all the time, so they're still doing what they can to keep the gun ban narrative rolling along.

The security guard was immediately fired for his violation of Apples firearms policy That makes no sense. If Apple didn't want the Security Guard to use his weapon, why did they hire an armed Security Guard? Was he supposed to just let the culprit "pick off" whomever he pleased, probably starting with him?

Could very well become true.
BTW If you've ever been to an Apple Store and watched the "Geniuses" strut around, doing nothing, pretending to be cool, ignoring you while you needed help, you too might be tempted to bring a rifle with you.
