Correct, it was using the wrong argument.

It doesn’t violate her first amendment rights, but there is absolutely no reason to include a violent religion in a school curriculum.

I don’t believe for a minute that ignorance about Islam behooves any of us.

HOWEVER.....

Uh, yes there is. Because it is inextricably intertwined in the culture there. It is the philosophy of the Middle East, and cannot be avoided.
