If you arent freaking out about something, then well, then Im freaking out that youre not freaking out. Tell the rest of us: whats your secret? Because the rest of us are pretty sure the world is going to hell in a flaming handbasket. And not only do we not know why, but we dont know what to do.
We live in a strange and contradictory time. On the one hand, the economies of the world are doing great! On the other, unless youre wearing $2,000 Prada shoes and brush your teeth with truffle toothpaste, youre not benefiting much from that growth. On the one hand, theres less war than ever before. On the other, pretty much everyone seems to hate their own government and is actively working towards their own demise.
So, what the hell is going on? Well, I spent most of my reading time trying to figure that out. And here are five of the best explanations Ive come across:

“The Naked Communist” explains a lot of it.
Then theres the idea that God here at the End of Days has reincarnated many of the wicked of past generations to give them one more chance. Obviously not many are taking advantage.
One book explains it best: The Holy Bible.
Yup. The only one I need...
Heb 9:27:
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Interesting. Thanks for posting.

From the article, the premise of “The Death of Expertise” is that we should just trust the experts, and not be anti-intellectual/anti-science. They go on to say, “Practice some humility. Trust in science. Trust in people who have decades of experience in a field. In many ways, the issue today, above all others, is trust.”
However, the issue is that the so-called “experts” also have agendas, which does not appear to be addressed. And how many times, especially in economics and climate-change have things been “unexpected” by the “experts.”
I prefer the old Reagan line, “Trust but verify.”
When the end comes, it will look like this...
Who goes bowling alone?
all I need to read right there to know the author is a flaming idiot.
Unless you have a terminal diagnosis, are facing homelessness, or have a gun currently pointed at you, freaking out does nothing but increase the odds of a bad outcome. And even in those circumstances it probably does.
The way I “work on” liberals is I undermine their faith in “experts”.
I try to get them to think of examples in their lives where they have caught the “experts” lying or having an agenda that contradicted known facts.
Almost everyone has at least one of those experiences.
Destroy faith in the “experts” of journalism, academia, etc. and you can get the liberals to start observing the reality in front of their faces.
Been my experience that you get three reactions when popping the bubble of a liberal.
1. They really do have an epiphany. (Walkaway)
2. They cry as their entire paradigm is shifted.
3. They scream insults.
I have had a fourth:
4. They act like robots and just continue on as before as though nothing has happened.
(This is actually a good sign—because the “epiphany” may happen at a future point—but you don’t get to witness it.)
Great read, thanks
