This is a real brain teaser.

Strange thefts. Not that much money in it for the thieves, especially since they had to harvest, first.

Some of the illegals hired for seasonal harvesting have been prosecuted and sent away for the same organized stunt in my area.

More than a few decades ago, a local grower was accused of cleaning out an orchard of his competitor to drive business to him. I don't think he was ever charged. Competition can be tough in farming.

There was a farm here in Arkansas growing pumpkins, about 8 acres worth, their entire crop was stolen like that also.

Criminal mindset-— “Well they shouldn’t have left all those apples unguarded. If I want something, and it’s there for the taking, why shouldn’t I take it?”

“There was nothing there,” said Ryan Spicer, the grandson of Alan Spicer, the farm’s founder. We were appleleptic.

This is so sad. Guess I would look at at place that makes alcoholic apple products. Hot fruit indeed.

It was a Mexican Apple Thief!

Jake: Why don't you tell me your wildest fantasy?
Elliot: OK, fine. You're a mexican apple thief. I run the cider house. I catch you hiding behind the stone mill. You chase me into the tasting room. Oh, if there's a crow in there: fine. If not.. I can live with it. Anyway, we're all alone and you don't speak a word of english, but you teach me more about hard cider than I ever learned from my fermenting exams and our passion is so loud that they can hear it all the way in the distillery (breaths hard) Oh, ha.. I can be such an apple slut!
Jake: Um.. okay!

These orchard thieves are rotten to the core. They should be sentenced to life without apeel.

A posse should hunt down this band of apple russeters if we're EVER able to stem the tide of such pulpable seediness.

Of course, there's always the possibility it was an incider job !
