Respectfully, that is only a theory. We can set aside that Islam has 1400 years of nonstop aggression against the west. What is required to be a ‘leader’ of a terrorist organization/cell/sect? An Islamic terrorist leader isn’t required to be a George Patton, leading divisions. It is only a single man, possibly with no education, very little resources at his disposal, and only the means to authorize attacks.
How much strategic value does an al-Baghdadi have over the next uneducated grunt in the cave? This doesn’t mean to say I think we shouldn’t bother, it just means like another poster said, it’s not worth a Presidential Address to the nation.
