Chief Justice Roberts now dragged into Democrat impeachment process
American Thinker ^ | Ed Timperlake

The target of Democrat zealots in the House of Representatives led by Speaker Pelosi and Adam Schiff is to impeach and remove President Donald Trump. Sadly for him, the person they have a much higher probability of removing from his lofty perch is Chief Justice John Roberts. The famous cliché, the law of unintended consequences, is fast approaching. In an earlier American Thinker blog post, I asked a very simple question of Supreme Court chief justice John Roberts: Mr. Chief Justice, what did you do about the fraud on your Court? He and he alone "owns" the FISC, so he must be held accountable for any court actions.

Rule 2.11: Disqualification of a Judge:

(c) was a material witness concerning the matter; or

Since the Constitution definitely states that it must be the “chief justice,” by title, who presides over a Senate trail, it can easily be understood and fully accepted that provision (b) of serving in government employment is not an ABA ethical disqualification. However, provision (c) cannot be ignored, and thus the law of unintended consequences will kick in.

No one seems to really know what the result of this if going to be. constitutionally It has to be the chief justice to lead the trial, and yet it can’t be the chief justice.

What a pickle

That is the way I think.

Who would become the chief justice?

Charles Thomas?

That would drive the libs out of their mind.

Roberts demoted might be a good thing.

I have believed from the beginning that the corruption, both financial and moral, is so bad in DC that hundreds of people in high places will be exposed and if not jailed, disgraced.

There will be suicides and arkansides before it is over.

This is certainly an interesting wrinkle to the impeachment process.

Would Roberts be able to get his Chief Justice status back after the trial ends, or is it permanent?

That would be Clarence Thomas.

A chance to demote Roberts would be a dream come true. America has been saddled with a compromised Chief Justice too long.

isn't that odd they go after Roberts? They went after Ann Coulter yesterday. Both never-Trumpers

Something odd is taking place with the left that started.

Looks like Pres Trump gets to appoint the chief justice and he would be confirmed by Senate if Roberts steps down.

“The chief justice is appointed by the president with the advice and consent of the Senate and has life tenure. His primary functions are to preside over the Supreme Court in its public sessions when the court is hearing arguments and during its private conferences when it is discussing and deciding cases.”

Awww, lay off little precious Johnny. He's very sensitive. Haven't you noticed that cute little toupe of his? All that time he must have spent in the mirror, working on his little hairdo, instead of rousting Comey and Rosenslime and all of the other FISA fraudsters. Say, is it possible that little Precious Johnny is compromised - and not respecting his sudden acquisition of an instant family?
