They do this because no one will object if domestic abusers are compelled to disarm themselves. First it was felons, then those accused of domestic violence, then it will be .50 cal rifles, then it will be “assault weapons” (because no one “needs” an assault weapon”), then it is any semi automatic firearm, then high powered “sniper rifles”, then handguns, then shotguns, then black powder firearms.
