Same here - work in the tech industry, and refuse to go there - even though it is pretty much the epicenter of the industry.
Not only the grotesque amount of filth, but the pathetic site of old ladies sleeping on cardboard boxes in a city where all these so called ‘progressives’ are earning 2-300K per year was just to much hypocrisy for me to handle.
One of the richest cities in the country, full of ultra-left wing liberals, and there are 70-80 year olds dying in the streets - I feel bad for them (not so much the young drug addicts).
