Sorry, but my opinion of Rep. McCarthy has improved over the course of this impeachment mess.

I could think of others who might make a better speaker, but I don’t get any impression that McCarthy is weak or wobbly.

Overall, the Freedom Caucus reps have done a fine job defending Trump and poking holes in the tissue-thin RAT impeachment case.

Exactly. McCarthy blew it when he was leader. Republicans had opportunities to do so much good on MAGA from 2017-2018, and they did nothing.
