Hubris – Nancy Pelosi Declares: “the senate rules are unfair” – “when rules become fair we will send articles”…
CONSERVATIVE TREEHOUSE ^ | 12/18/2019 | SUNDANCE

The entire House effort to impeach President Donald Trump has been a one-sided partisan effort; built upon a foundation of manipulation of process and dismissal of the minority rights throughout.

After the House voted along party lines, and in an act of stunning hubris, Speaker Pelosi now declares she will withhold the articles of impeachment until the Senate makes rules that she determines will be “fair” to the prosecution. [Video at 09:00 prompted]

This impeachment was a giant waste of time, Democrats should get back to what they are good at, which is

— riding bicycles to change the weather

— inventing genders you didn’t know could exist

— bombing reasonably sane foreign regimes and replacing them with entirely worse alternatives

— helping foreigners invade the United States

That’s what they are best at doing, impeachment clearly isn’t in their skill set.

‘Scumbag’ isn’t low enough!!! I ask myself - how can anyone be a democrat? Yet I know straight white Christian males that still vote for them.

HELP! :)

"They say POTUS Trump is a danger to the Republic but they won’t immediately move forward with Impeachment to stop this dangerous Dictator? Interesting..."

Kind of reminds me of the time in December of 1990, as a Sergeant in Corrections, I ticked off the Administration at the prison I worked at in New York State. They tried to claim that I'd lied in my disciplinary report on a hispanic inmate, that I'd used profanity in my exchange with the inmate, and that I hadn't filed a "Use of Force" form when I put my hand on the inmate's shoulder to direct him into my office so I could talk to him away from the other inmates.

After the incident, I'd reported it to my supervisor, the Watch Commander, asked him if he wanted me to file a "Use of Force" form, and he said "No, that's not a use of force." Corrections was basically paramilitary. We were taught to follow the last order given by a supervisor...so I did. He even testified for me at my arbitration hearing.

The Administration first tried to get me to change my report, which I refused to do. After that, they brought me up on charges of lying, using profanity, not filing a use of force form, and claimed I was a threat to security. That last one made me laugh because if I was an actual threat to security, why hadn't they immediately suspended me from my job?

The case went to arbitration, and the only thing I was found guilty of was using profanity, which in a prison setting happens all the time, inmates and officers alike. It hadn't mattered that the inmate had called me a b*tch. The only thing that mattered was that I had asked the inmate who the f*ck he thought it was.

I got suspended for 30 days with no pay for swearing, which was fine with me. I'd been found not guilty of lying, along with the other over-padded charges they'd tacked on. Being found not guilty of lying meant the world to me.

The day I went into the Superintendent's office to hand in my badge for the 30 days, he asked me what I planned to do with my time. I said "Heck, I've borrowed the maximum amount from my pension", (which at that time was about $10,000), and told him that "I was going to do some traveling", (I was into the Civil War at the time), and, "that me and my kids were going to have the best Christmas ever." Who the hell wouldn't want to have the whole month of December off? I could tell he wasn't too happy hearing that he'd actually done me a favor. Made my day...and month, despite the fact that my mother had died that August, and this was going to be the first Christmas without her. I made it to retirement, and have been retired for 16 years now. Start my 17th year in about a week. F*ck New York State!! and the Cuomos!! Mario was Governor at the time...freakin' dish*t. He's dead, and I'm not!!

I like you’re line of thinking, but they should be run over with a Mack Truck first, before being punched in the mouth, then thrown in prison.

House Democrats have no business telling the Senate what to do.

And Senators like nothing more than the lower house demanding they conduct a trial according to its whims.

Democrats just lost Pierre Dilecto.

“Walking the articles” over to the Senate is ceremonial and is not required by the Constitution. It’s the Senate’s game now that the articles have passed. McConnell should schedule a trial. If the House managers don’t show up, read the articles into the Senate record. Allow
The President to present a defense and vote.

Enough of this crap.

This whole charade is only designed to set up the narrative that Trump deserved to be removed from office but is protected by the Republicans. All to justify massive voter fraud in 2020...

I agree that Nancy Pelosi is just preparing an excuse when Trump is acquitted. She will just say the Senate trial is unfair and hope the rank and file Democrats believe her.

“Fact of the Matter” theory. SOLUTION: “You delay the “sending” we delay the “receiving”. Which will set the Trump rally machine into absolute orbit scale 50,000 plus attendance per rally

Pelosi becoming President because of her BS would be like Cersei Lannister when she finally sat on the Iron Throne.

Mitch should insist “Seven Dwarfs” be allowed to participate as an allegory of the intellectual depth of the House...

Not only is the House now irrelevant to the process, but I would think Nancy Pelosi should recluse herself, as she now stands to benefit from the possibility of President Trump being removed from office. That would place her just one step away from assuming the office herself. So, her meddling in the process of the Senate is probably illegal too. A conflict of interest.
