The end of the sentence is not in quotes, which raises my suspicion a bit. If the changes in the gun laws are specifically what the increase is being asked for, and nothing else, why was the actual text of the governor's request not printed in full?

Still, I would not put it past the Dems, and this is actually quite ominous. They are chopping away at the 2nd Amendment, gun by gun, ammo by ammo, until nothing is left, and nothing is more likely to trigger CWII than government efforts to confiscate legally-purchased guns from law-abiding citizens.
