Lindsey Graham Will Oppose Republican Subpoena of Hunter Biden in Impeachment Trial
GP ^ | January 24, 2020 | Cassandra Fairbanks

According to a report from The Hill, Graham said that if his Republican colleagues introduce a motion to subpoena Joe Biden’s son, he said “I vote against it.”

The Hill report adds, “Graham’s opposition essentially kills the threat that Republicans have wielded in recent weeks that if Democrats win a motion to hear from additional witnesses such as former national security adviser John Bolton and acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, they will retaliate by subpoenaing the Bidens.”

Graham claims that the impeachment trial, which centers around a call about the Bidens, is not the appropriate venue to look into their corruption.

“I don’t want to call Hunter Biden. I don’t want to call Joe Biden. I want someone to look at this when this is done,” he said Friday. “To my Republican friends, you may be upset about what happened in the Ukraine with the Bidens but this is not the venue to litigate that.”

He has his good moments (like during the Kavenaugh hearings) but is shit like this that makes me know he’s mostly a Deep Stater.

Yes, while it seems unpopular here, and the instinct is to go after the Democrats full force, I would much rather see this impeachment come to a quick end. The sooner the better. As for the Bidens. I would hope that Graham will follow through on his statement that he will investigate them further, but we just have to wait and see. But yeah, let’s stop this thing as soon as possible, and let Trump go about doing his job without this distraction.

If you have been watching and listening you will note that the whole thrust of the House plan is that Trump did this to take down a political “rival” AKA Slow Joe

In the military it is a main tenet that You choose the field of battle. It is not the time or place to open the can of Whoop Ass that is coming when this is over and we do not feed the skunk they want us to. In short if we do this now then we can be perceived as been there done that and old news. Once the Biden part gets really opened then it is all gins blazing and the other pieces make sense as a part of everything including Obama who will be drawn in

They would sacrifice Biden to keep the ball rolling as this is bigger than just him. Nope, I say keep your powder dry and on the long game and not the jousting going on at this moment, just let the stage be set post “trial” and the real main event begins

Although I am not the biggest Tucker Carlson fan he pretty much tells us that Biden is cannon fodder and not the end game and will be sacrificed to keep the big game going

I’d rather see the whistle blower and Schiff called to testify.

Yeah, what are Democrats afraid of? They’ve been investigating Trump since before his election, in an attempt to effect the election. They found nothing, so it’s only fair for Trump to investigate them.

I think he probably has strategic reasons for doing this. McConnell has let this farce go on way too long, and I think this may be a way to get it to end.

Lindsey shouldn’t have killed the threat, but I somewhat agree that this isn’t the correct venue. Trump shouldn’t have to prove that Bidens were corrupt, only that there was a reasonable person might conclude that there was possible corruption and should be looked at.

The video of Quid pro Quo Joe bragging about getting the prosecutor fired should be sufficient to establish that Trump had sufficient reason.

But just to make sure, give Rudy 15 minutes to expound on Biden corruption.

Yes. And he just went off on the dems. He want’s the peach mint sham over and an investigation into Biden/Ukraine. Wants a special counsel but will do it in his committee if no one else will. He supported the dems Mueller investigation and expects them to support him in this.

If there are witnesses called, then Lindsey is wrong.

These people must appear:

The Whistle-blower
Hunter Biden
Joe Biden
Speaker Pelosi
Congressman Schiff
Congressman Nadler

Granted, the past DOJ that was carried over from Obastards administration did just that. But this present DOJ, although not as pure as you would like it, is 100% better and BTW, there is already an investigation ongoing.

But I guess you would NOT CARE for a grand jury to be convened would you?

So whats your choice? Full blown civil war? OK then, start it out.

Remember when he promised hearings about those hearings?

Yup. Biden corruption is a separate issue from a Presidential impeachment. Pursuing Biden now will open up a spider web and continue this whole fiasco for months. End it.

As long as there are NO witnesses, then I’m fine with this.

If they starting letting the Demonrats call people, and then tell Trump you can’t call X, then I am not fine with it at all.

All or nothing, Lindsey. I don’t need you to act as a filter.

Hoping the senate will shut down this baseless sham of an “impeachment” directly. There will be plenty of time to expose the Biden family Corruption Gang, also pelosi and Feinstein and more.

For sure. No doubt a goodly share of the kickbacks went to Graham’s late BFF.
