Yes, and we all know that Dresden was supposedly a payback for what happened to Coventry (even though the Allies knew that that attack was to take place but did not want to show that they had broken the German secret code).
The British started bombing German cities in May of 1940; Coventry was bombed months later. There seems to be plenty of evidence the Britain started a bombing campaign against civilians long before Germany did.
