“expecting Best Picture to be an American film”
Why would anyone expect that when plenty of foreign films have already won Best Picture?
Thanks for understanding that viewpoint other than one intrinsically held can be valid but foreign to anything imaginable;)
Why not? What foreign film is better than American films in that year? And since there is a foreign film category, leave them there!
