A person has died in Washington state of COVID-19, state health officials said Saturday, marking the first such reported death in the United States.
State officials issued a terse news release announcing the death, gave no details and scheduled a news conference.
Health officials in California, Oregon and Washington state worried about the novel coronavirus spreading through West Coast communities after confirming three patients were infected by unknown means.
The patients — an older Northern California woman with chronic health conditions, a high school student in Everett, Washington and an employee at a Portland, Oregon-area school — hadn’t recently traveled overseas or had any known close contact with a traveler or an infected person, authorities said.

It is politically incorrect to report but unless the race of the person is stated, the report is incomplete and does little to clarify or give greater understanding of the spread of this pathogen. Thus far it appears that Asiatics have a greater susceptibility for serious infection and death related to COVID-19 than Caucasians and Africans. Reasons:
1)Many Caucasians and Africans were living and working in Wusan. Apparently few if any of them became symptomatically infected and none have died
2) There were thousands of people who traveled from the Wusan epicenter to multiple points in North America between December 15- Jan 23. The virus is here. There have been no Korea or China like outbreaks.
3) The outbreak in Italy occurred in a region where there s a large population of Chinese immigrants and guest workers
4) the modern Iranian people have a large contribution from China in their genome. The Silk Road with numerous Chinese entourages transversed Iran and Iran was once conquered by the Mongols
Genetic susceptibility is the prime factor that makes a population vulnerable or resistant to any pathogen. Unfortunately this scientific fact is inconvenient and does not coincide with WHO’s prevailing globalist narrative. Also if scientists and journalists even consider genetic factors in their work, they are subject to career ending accusations of racism.
Even Bill Gates is getting into the hand wringing. Not that he’s some sort of kook, leftist, with a strange agenda that involves reducing global population by forced innoculations etc...
But you’re assuming that the virus won’t eventually mutate into a form that will kill more non-asisans.

What did we expect but the West Coast to have the first unfortunate death from this virus.
Look at the health conditions poop on the street and unhealthy conditions caused by the homeless situation allowed to run free and wild.
Somebody died and they assure us it’s from COVID-19 but absolutely ZERO details are given. No information whatsoever. Male? Female? 90 years old? Other health issues?

This virus is many times more deadly than flu. It’s misleading to compare the number of deaths from this to the number for flu because this virus is just starting. We don’t know how many are ultimately going to die.

They are saying on twitter that this woman might have had cancer and was taking chemo not sure if that is true but it would explain her very compromised immune system..condolences to her family
My wife and I came through SeaTac last week. As is always the case, lots of Asians were in the passenger mix. You mentioned Vancouver which is just 60 miles from our house. Chinese cross the border in huge numbers every day to shop and gamble. Are they screened at all?! Thankfully we live on an island so in some ways we are self-quarantined.

To the best of my knowledge there are NO reports of any victim's ethnicity, just of their nationality.
The Italian patients and victims are in a Chinese enclave.
I don't think we can say the same about the Iranians

With the flu they tell us the old and sick are most susceptible. With covid, they're give us few details. Why?
I'm not panicking. My interest is in why the reporting is incomplete.
Now all they tell us is some unnamed person (no picture given) died.

No, but the four I listed are what the CDC considers common human coronavirus.
I’ll be here for everyone that becomes morose when and if this virus turns duddly. Folks always think it’s the last hoax when these things die off...
Now they don’t even want to tell us the gender, let alone the ethnicity.
I have seen instances where labeling will say can kill this or that but won’t kill this or that. Can’t think of a specific incident. Maybe Clorox wipes.
I suspect that may be in the works in the future for the lysol can.
Which makes it all the more important for humans not to eat those critters which normally call home.
Culinary habits are going to need to change...a lot.
