Yep, there could be thousands of cases in the US right now (esp. Northern Washington and the CA Bay Area) and we would not know it. S. Korea is a smaller country to cover, but their testing is in the tens of thousands and the US testing numbers in the hundreds...CDC testing/tracing was a let down...now that it is in the “community spread” mode the CDC testing “ramp up” isn’t going to help contain the spread too much...widespread testing now will only show how far out of control it is.

Not only thumb up ass, but the very people that were saying China isn’t being honest about the numbers are lying to us about “low possibility” of infectious contact to limit panic. Note in Florida they aren’t even mentioning where these people are within the state.

Worst case...this gets out of hand and blame is no longer relevant.
Never underestimate the vote changing power of the severe economic downturn this herd panic will cause. No, the virus will probably not change votes, but all the people soon to be out of work will change theirs.

Sometimes the stupid around here makes my head ache.
So you honestly believe China released a virus into the center of it’s own country in November, a year before our election, causing them to have to quarantine 700 million people, and shoot their economy in the head, all to try and defeat Trump? F##king brilliant.
What should Trump do?
He did the exact right thing stopping travel from China, that bought us some time. But then the CDC clown show completely f##ked up the testing process, letting the virus spread all over the country, and now we can’t contain anymore we are stuck trying to mitigate the damage.
Trump should stop with the happy talk like “ go to work if you are infected”, tell everyone it’s going to be rough, and start acting like a wartime president.
Has a Death Rate Around 34 Times Higher than the Flu
Korea is a good example of the death using a modern society with decent healthcare 6,284 cases, 42 dead and mostly elderly with underlying illnesses.
6284 / 42 = 0.6 percent. Please don’t go with well people haven’t died yet, so that can’t be the true rate. Well thousands / tens of thousands could have the virus and not know it, because the vast majority of healthy people are not affected.
Scientists and doctors are coming up with new treatments and a vaccine is closer than most people think. Summer will kill this off and give time for vaccine testing and prepare for next season. Up to 575,400 died in the H1N1 Pandemic a few years ago, there was no massive panic and the destruction of the world economy. Same with the swine-flu’s 203,000.
We are a bunch of pearl-clutchers.
We’ll know in a few weeks, when Washington State looks like this Iran CV video, or not.
