President Trump on Thursday downplayed the number of ventilators he thinks New York will need in the battle against the coronavirus.
“I have a feeling that a lot of the numbers that are being said in some areas are just bigger than they’re going to be,” Trump said in a call to Fox News’ “Hannity.”
“I don’t believe you need 40,000 or 30,000 ventilators,” Trump continued. “You know you go into major hospitals sometimes they’ll have two ventilators and now, all of a sudden, they’re saying, ‘Can we order 30,000 ventilators?'”
I saw a small part of Governor Cuomo talking yesterday, he said they are putting two people on a single ventilator.
It is not ideal but works.

As there is no vaccine, the WuHuFlu is still likely to burn through the rest of China's population.
Of course the number of infected rise with the number of tested.
After the CDC dropped the ball, The Trump administration enticed private industry to ramp up the testing capacity.

Country A 60 infections with population of 200... Country B 50 infections with a population of 100. I could say Country A appears to be worse off than country B. Not really. Country A has 3 infections per capita(1000) but County B has 5 per capita (1000). Unless you account for the population, the numbers are meaningless. We may have passed Italy in total number of cases but you are less likely to become infected in the US. Typical MSM reporting.
People talking about 9 patients to a vent didn’t realize we WOULD be using the same vent on 9 people in a day.

The thing is that many Chinese have two cell phones - one from their company and one their personal. They need the personal one for payments etc (nearly all payments in China are mobile).
It could be that the 21 million are mostly company phones.
It could be that they are from dead people.
There just isn’t enough to make a conclusion on right now — though the hiding of deaths of 21 million would be high and also they could have HIDDEN the 21 million less numbers fact

The earliest reference to that story is 3/22 that I can find. Seems like several online news outlets picked it up a day later and ran updates a couple of days after that. Bloomberg has a business article referencing it only insofar as how it affects Chinese telecom stocks listed on various exchanges.
I wonder if this is legit? Some of these investor news rags are pretty goofy.
IIRC, NYS could have bought 16,000 ventilators many years ago....and said “No thanks”. Social programs are much better vote geters in NYS.
