For the past two days, New Yorkers have been dying at a rate of one every 17 minutes, according to the latest grim citywide statistics.

On both Thursday and Friday, another 84 people died in the city from the coronavirus, as the number of positive cases and of those who are critically ill also climbed.

The COVID-19 death toll in the city was 450 as of Friday evening, up from 366 reported fatalities in the morning.

Total citywide coronavirus cases rose to 26,697, up 4.4 percent from the 25,573 reported in the morning.

Mayor de Blasio warned Friday that critical resources to combat the outbreak in the country’s epicenter could run out by Sunday, April 5, as hospitals remain completely overwhelmed.

U.S. COVID-19 DEATH RATE REMAINS LOW

And how many of those deaths are really wuhan virus caused? If you die in a car wreck and test positive for the virus, are you part of the virus death statistic?

Keep saying “just the flu” and it’ll go away!

Fear mongers such as yourself will not believe it, but we were hit early in Western Washington, deaths and people needing to be hospitalized are already in decline. The worst case scenarios were greatly exaggerated.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/coronavirus-washington-state-leveling-off/2020/03/26/682790e6-6f6b-11ea-a3ec-70d7479d83f0_story.html

Oh and by the way, my wife and I have both volunteered and been paid to work at the Kirkland Life Care Center. I was one of the first here to say that this was more than a political hoax and took a lot of heat for that. I had no idea that the panic could morph into what we are now seeing.

"Trump has been crucified for making similar such comments."

Of course he is...the liberals, Deep State and anti-Americans are finding things in this pandemic that gleefully fit their narrative...the Russian thingy didn't work, the impeachment was also a flop and President Trump moves ahead for America and Americans of all stripes in spite of Schumer and Pelosi in lock step with the Squad, who it would seem have taken over.

Pelosi owns this: "Senior GOP Source: Pelosi and Schumer Making Non-Coronavirus-Related Demands While Holding Up Relief Bill".... Pelosi was stuffing the bill with her personal agenda. Trish Regan was fired for exposing the left's agenda...they are still trying to overthrow President Trump...(Treason use to be a crime)...this however, is their pick for potus 2020 so far.......

Now the death rate is 1 per 9.5 minutes: https://nypost.com/2020/03/28/nyc-coronavirus-cases-reach-nearly-30k-with-a-death-every-9-5-seconds/

Close to 350 per day should die due to natural age death rate for a city of 8,700,000, which is the 2018 official population of NYC. Oh the huge manatatee.

If just one more death funds an arts center in Manhattan, a Democrat strategist gets his wings.

Yesterday’s 7,085 new cases of COVID-19 in New York are about as much as one week’s total cases of seasonal flu at the peak of flu season. In other words, New York is currently experiencing COVID-19 cases at seven times the rate of seasonal flu at its peak. And yet, bad as it currently is for New York, the numbers are still increasing exponentially.

Flu numbers are made up. If I had it, I wouldn’t run off to the doctor as there is very little they can do, except Tamiflu. Try as you may, it is still just a highly-contagious flu-lie disease. Kind of like a bad cold for most people. As an aside, I have yet to hear of anyone in America with the biggest symptom scam of them all - the “Halp, I’ve got glass in me lungs.” More media hysteria to scatter the sheep.

“What is the number of recoveries?”

I posted this to another thread a little while ago:

My wife has a colleague in NYC who had CV symptoms, shortness of breath, fever, cough. He’s mid-thirties, in good health otherwise, with no severe underlying conditions. His doctor told him to self-quarantine and to let him know if his symptoms became worse. If so, he would then have him tested. It never came to that. He also prescribed hydroxychloroquine and a Z-Pack. The young man told my wife today that after two days of taking the medication he was feeling much better and that after five days his symptoms are almost gone! Real story. Real first-hand account. Real results! Good news!

Rate is so low it’s not worth noting.

We hope. We don't know because we don't know how many people have contracted the disease.

I’ve been following the data here:

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

Currently, no State has shown a death rate of over 0.02%, most are less. ...just dividing total deaths by total *known* cases. Given, the death rate will be a lagging indicator against rising rates of contraction. If we start to see the rate of contraction flat line, then within a week or so we should have a solid death rate.

The last two days have had similar “new cases” - I’m hoping this is the flat-line we’ve been driving toward and then we’ll soon know exactly how bad this could be. It may be we could all be going back to normal in 2 weeks (optimistically).

That is over 2000 people a month. By the time you add to it the number of people killed by guns and smoking, it won’t be long before no one will be alive in New York City.

You're making it sound like a bad thing.

If we start to see the rate of contraction flat line

We can keep it growing through increased testing.

If it was really as deadly as you overly paranoid chicken little like individuals running around attaching monikers like flubros (your stupid little name you have attributed to anyone who tries to inject reason into the equation), the recovered number would not be 4.77 times higher than the deceased number. The deceased numbers would have by now outpaced flu numbers worldwide. Instead the worldwide deaths attributed to this virus, have just now surpassed the flu deaths in this country only in this current flu season.

Time for you to start recognizing that the numbers to not match the wild projections that were put forth. Even they are backing off those numbers.

We have enough data now, I think.

We have tested a lot of people.

If we had a high death rate, we’d know by now.

That's not correct. Washington has a 4.7% death rate. The rest are lower, but they are ramping up while Washington is ramping down.

They cherry pick the small percentage of infected people who die and extrapolate the prognosis to the whole population just so they can scream “we’re all gonna die”.

How many people die in NYC every day? I’m guessing it’s close to 400, which is about one every 4 minutes.

That’d be about 150k a year. Even if correct, the coronavirus wouldn’t be really far off from that at 1 every 17 minutes.
