Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) is drafting legislation that would set up an independent commission that would investigate why the country was unprepared for the coronavirus pandemic.
“After Pearl Harbor and 9/11, we looked at what went wrong to learn from our mistakes,” the House Intelligence Committee Chairman said in a tweet. “Once we've recovered, we need a nonpartisan commission to review our response and how we can better prepare for the next pandemic.”
Schiff did not give specifics regarding when the legislation will be dropped, but suggested it would be after Congress finishes the task at hand: mulling a series of stimulus packages aimed at alleviating the economic impact of the pandemic. Sources familiar with the legislation told NBC News the legislation is "very preliminary."
“We will need to delay the work of the commission until the crisis has abated to ensure that it does not interfere with the agencies that are leading the response,” Schiff told the Washington Post. “But that should not prevent us from beginning to identify where we got it wrong and how we can be prepared for the next pandemic.”

If this materializes which I have no doubt, this will bite them in the butt bigly. This will not be “bipartisan” as this idiot purports. Would love to see a surprise million or so patriots descend upon DC and tar and feather him and his ilk.

Still, I have to admire how ‘rats like Schiff-for-brains and Nancy never give up and get much of what they want. Our side was allegedly going to hold the coup-plotters responsible and heads were going to roll, but our side didn’t do schiff.
Come on Adam Schiff, congress has more important things than wasting time on worthless ventures like this. This is being proposed in order to embarrass President Trump, no other reason. This is a typical democratic ploy by Schiff since the impeachment thing fell apart.
Of course, this has nothing to do with preparedness or planning for the next one. Their only purpose will be to lambast and deride the president...purely for political gain.
I absolutely am not worried about it. It’s pretty obvious that most Americans now understand what Pelosi and Schiff are all about and will see it for exactly what it is, a political show trial. In the end, it will probably only generate more contempt for these slimeballs from the average Jane and Joe.

As for “Shifty” Schiff it is unbelievable that that component of a viral pandemic plague known as the DC establishment has not yet been charged, tried, and found guilty of treason, as for any member of the Comunist party they can spin all the lies they want about Trump and his administration, the entire GOP and those who support both all they want, that bill for the investigation will not make it through the senate and “Shifty” Schiff had better move fast because the only way the Dems. will maintain control of the HOR is if the GOP fails to investigate obvious electoral corruption just as they failed to do so in 2018.
Those responsible for a shortage of respirators are the members of the Communist party and not Trump and the members of the Republican party.
I hope beyond all hopes that before I die the Communist (i.e.) Democratic party will be dead, if only we could eradicate the mindless individuals who vote for them.
