Facemasks, even if just a scarf are effective if nothing else for stopping people from sneezing all over each other and touching their face. The symptom charts I have seen suggest sneezing isn't a coronavirus symptom. Maybe the flu, but more likely a cold.

Yes, but this is also allergy season for a lot of people. Allergy-generated sneezes + asymptomatic carrier = whole lot of infections.
