How well does the Virus survive in saltwater or chlorinated pool water for that matter?

I used to live in Pinellas County. Around half are sane, hard working people. The other half, most of them South of Central Avenue, are just looking for a handout.
This should piss off Hillsborough County authoritarians who are thrilled to be large and in charge and running around telling everyone what to do and how the “peoples” will now be living their lives the way their local government orders them to live it.

Yes, and it’s those people south of Central Ave that gave us Crist as our Congress critter.

The exercise limitation is not based on some calculus that those who exercise are not a risk. The reason is that if they limit the use to particular uses like exercise then there will be fewer people on the beach. They are just trying to reduce the crowding.

Are they going to allow owners of beachfront property to use their own private beaches? Or just open to outsiders and not the owners? Stupid “leaders”.

Pinellas (Florida) commission will consider opening parts of beaches for exercise Pretty sure a lot of exercisers will stop for a couple of hours to rest and maybe even jump in the water to cool off!

Former Pinellas County (northern part) resident here, too! What I wouldn’t give to be at Indian Rocks Beach or Honeymoon Island once they are open...

We wish, no alcohol allowed on beaches in Pinnellas County

I was always partial to Clearwater Beach and its white, powdery sands. Spent lots of time and Indian Rocks Beach too!

5:05pm 84 degrees in the shade with a fan ... if we go out to Honeymoon Island (State Park) - 7 minute drive (if I’m driving)- its usually after 3pm - its a sun thing - without sunscreen you can be toast in an hour on a walk/shell collecting trip.
Water temp: 77 degrees now probably fine for you Northerners but I don’t go in the water til it hits 80. August and Sept. 90+ - like a bath. ;-)
Don’t book a flight - they closed the beaches.
Pinellas County may open up some beaches and pools come Thursday. We’ll see.
