Hey social media fans (I am not) please tell me the differences between the US giants like Facebook and the regimes of North Korea , Communist China and Iran.
Anti-regime stories there lead the people who express them to end up either in harsh prison camps or dead. Unlike those showing evidence of correctly praising exalted accomplishments and greatness of the Most Glorious Exceedingly Supreme Leader.

Something is up alright.. They are trying to get rid of everything we hold dear! Hopefully, the Alliance is real and the unsealed indictments and mass arrests are really happening. 🙏

The Marxist Media should be shut down for the avalanche of lies they have spewed for decades.

Facebook?
What is that?
Never used it before.
We don't need no steenking Facebook to organize any protests,
Protests have been going on since the beginning of time, long before Facebook started.
What an arrogant pr*ck Zuckerberg is.

Oh man, talk about censoring free speech. Evil man. And, I dont even have a Facebook account.
Partner, you hit a homerun with this statement.
I do have a Facebook account but I never use Facebook.
"We the People" decide what we need to do since our Founding Fathers said we should not let government or another entity control us. We determine our own destiny.

Sure, I fully agree that something needs to be done to FB/YouTube/etc. But is it really FedGov's role to do so?
Who else could do it?
It doesn't matter if anyone else could do it - that doesn't give FedGov the authority to take that power under its wing. As I said in my other response, if it's a power FedGov needs, then amend the Constitution and give FedGov those powers. Otherwise, they need to stay the hell out of it.
How do they have the power/authority?
They have authority to address any potential threat to this nation's governance whether it come from within or without. These companies engage in censorship primarily for the purpose of manipulating political power. They manipulate elections by manipulating the information the public receives. By censoring opposition ideas, they increase the chances of getting elected representatives that are favorable to them.
This needs to be prohibited. They should be required to carry all traffic whether they agree with it or not. It's not up to people controlling mass communications to decide what the American people should be allowed to hear.
No, they don't have that power. Please, quote me what line from the Constitution that you think does?
Again, like in my other response, why should FreeRepublic be exempt from these rules, but not FaceBook? JimRob censors as much as he wants here, and many times for purely political reasons. The difference is that here, we're a primarily Conservative audience, so no one wants the liberal troll around as it is, and that censorship is supported by the userbase. FaceBook is full of all sorts of people. Have you not seen the great anti-Romney threads? JimRob promising to ban all the anti-Trumpers? Would that not be considered manipulating information for the elections? Censoring opposition ideas? Would you say that JimRob shouldn't be allowed to do that on the site he owns, operates, and controls?
Should newspapers be banned from endorsing any candidates? Radio required to spend exactly 50-50 air time for each side? 33-33-33 if we add in the Libertarian Party? Or, 25-25-25-25 for the Greenies as well? 20202020-101010-050505 for the etcetcetc parties?

Oh, Mark Z. It must be torture for you, quarantined in your multi-gazillion dollar compound in sunny California. Poor baby.
