Historian and Hoover Institution senior fellow Victor Davis Hanson told "The Story" Friday that Democratic governors of states like New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Illinois are creating an "untenable situation" by being slow to lift lockdowns instituted to counter coronavirus. "We don’t think more people will die because of the lockdown versus exposure to the virus," Hanson said, mimicking the thought process of some Democratic governors, "We have to be absolutely certain that nobody gets the virus and dies." As a result, he said, residents of those states are prevented from paying into the system with tax money, which is needed to fund entitlement programs.
"We have soaring welfare costs and we have soaring entitlement costs because people are locked in at home, Hanson said. "But we want other people to go out in the red states, and we want to criticize you for being reckless, but your people are going to have to provide the labor and the services and the capital to create wealth and give it to the federal government, so it can turn it around and give it to us and bail us out while we sit at home and suggest that we are your moral superiors. "That is an untenable situation."

If there is anything good to come out of this nightmare its the American people corralled at home with nothing more than the news and the internet and TIME plenty of TIME to see whats really going on. This can only be bad for the rats
Bad stuff happens. That has always been the case. No one gets out alive — everyone dies at some point.
Too many people have hoped for Security and thrown away their Freedom. We’ve trashed the economy and trashed the Constitution. This was not smart.
It is surely a shame when an 80-year-old man in a nursing home gets COVID-19 and dies. But I think it is a greater shame when a young family lose their jobs, their income, their house and their hopes and dreams because of the lockdown. That just seems like a much bigger deal to me. We do this to ourselves.

Americans have always been tilted toward the “risk” side of a risk/reward model. Those of us who take pride in our work and feel like complete trash being sequestered are willing to risk an illness with <2% fatality rate if it means we can get back to work.
I’m fed up with the Euro-weenies and leftist whiners who castigate and ridicule us. We are stronger as a society, and we are going to prove it.

The saddest part of this entire scam is that these governors will keep getting elected. I just don’t understand it.
Next the Governors will argue you could save thousands of lives by banning cars and trucks. It could also save the planet. However, citizens would starve in place. Is it coming to that because of the shut down?

The IRS and State tax automatically deduct my estimated taxes from my bank acct. I in tend to alter the amount of the June deductions to reflect Gov Moron’s shutdown. Gotta check with my accountant. Not sure how it’s done. The estimated tax may be NOTHING.
Ever since the initial request that we do various things to slow the spread, I have wanted to have data about many of the characteristics of people who are dying. I thought back then that we would need that information in order to make informed decisions about going out depending on our own situation. I never dreamed that we would be asked to stay in our homes for eight weeks already. We still need that information and wonder why we are not being allowed to know it.

Virtue signaling is behind the mask enforcers. Our masked sheeple are communicating, “We need to show that we are all in this together and doing our part.” It doesn’t matter that the masks hinder breathing and talking, and only protect people from sneezers.
