True... The 1968 riots in the North end of Hartford burned a few supermarkets - First National, Popular and Stop and Shop. After the riots, it was bad, until about 1985 when an inner city supermarket opened. A major supermarket (Shop-Rite) announced they are building a new store near the North end...50 years after...
