The chief said she was proud of the moment earlier Sunday when officers outside the Justice Center agreed to some protesters’ requests to drop to their knees in the street, calling it a moment of “solidarity’’ and “understanding.’’
But she said the late-evening vandalism to the federal courthouse and the Multnomah County courthouse was disturbing.

Chief Jami Resch appears to be an affirmative action hire, one who climbed the ranks due to experience, leadership and managerial talent, such attributes far superior to the slugs that comprised her peer group.
We have known for years the Portland Police have been backing Antifa.
