It showed up as a ping to me... didn’t read the others on the heading.

So sorry.

Gang bangers and rioters / looters are the mill stones hung round the necks of the majority of black people in those communities.

We don’t have a race problem in this country: we’ve a habitual criminal problem (all races) ... and a filthy commie problem on top of that.

"(They’re much better at beer)."
The beer will be fine assuming that was a sincere apology.

Not too much. Maybe a bit of gentrification near 61st and Ellis Ave.

The U of Chicago keeps that area mixed. Where I lived (53rd and Maryland, I was only two blacks from the Jones Armory where Louis Farrakhan introduced Qaddafi on closed circuit television, and he proceeded to suggest that the black people of the U.S. should seize a portion of the country for themselves. If the viewers took him up on it, I would have been one of the first to go.

In those days, NONE of the chains were on the south side. It was an all-day trip transferring buses to get a printer ribbon for my Coleco Adam at the Montgomery Ward on the northwest side. Taco Bell was a 90 minute road trip by car. I bought my TV at the Walgreen's. Real supermarkets (Jewel, Dominick's, Cub) were hours by bus/train, or maybe a dangerous walk to Schnuck's on 47th and Cottage Grove. Mostly you settled for a local store like Mr. G's. It has gotten worse, but the character has been long established.

Any insurance company that can charge enough premium to make a profit will sell them insurance for these stores. Or get a package policy that covers all stores in an area. That way the profitable stores share the increased cost, so those customers help pay the premiums for the bad neighborhoods.

She bashes those that bring in money to the state and supports the criminals who burn down the stores and kill dozens every week in Chicago. Why any company would want to be there is beyond me.

New York needs another Guiliani to restore law and order.

People on both sides are sick and tired of DiBlasio, so once again they may call on a law-and-order Republican to clean up house.

Thanks for this comment, volunbeer. I learned a lot. And now a lot of businesses after surviving Covid19 slowdown are getting kicked down again by the looters.

The Rats are looking for Civil War reparations.

Instead of cash, why don’t we nationalize the factories that make designer handbags and then distributing those products to the “needy” of Chicago, Minneapolis, and LA.
