Former President George W. Bush will not support President Trump in his effort to seek reelection this year.
People familiar with his thinking told the New York Times the 43rd president won't back his fellow Republican, who will likely face former Vice President Joe Biden in the general election.
Freddy Ford, a spokesman for Bush, said the former president plans to speak out only on policy issues.

A significant boost for Trump. Bush was one of the 10 worst presidents of all time. Maybe in the top 5 for most destructive. He gave us Obama. And he didn’t mind that at all.
Political evolution is interesting to watch. 20 odd years ago GWB was idolized by the majority here. Had daily threads with photos and guffaw gushing. Suspensions for not towing the line were not uncommon.
Now Bush is reviled.

He sat by like a wuss when they hung him in effigy, compared him to Hitler, chanted Bush lied people died, ran commercials connecting him to the Jasper TX dragging, ran his soldier body count every night on the news and undermined his authority during war, they called him a drunk and a deserter, they smeared Laura as a murderer because of a high school car accident, they relentlessly attacked his daughters. He’s a phony POS and I’m sorry I ever voted for and defended him.
That was very impressive ducking by Bush Jr.! It is the most impressive show of skill that I have ever seen by him.

He had good camouflage, he did not reveal his amnesty agenda until after he was re-elected.
I was opposed to him for most of his second term.
It didn’t take long for him to make me regret my votes.

The Bush family has always been a huge disappointment; they should know the only reason people voted for them was that they were the lesser of two evils.

Bush represented the Cheap Labor Express... along with Jeb. Why should we care who he’s voting for. Bush has ONE VOTE just like the rest of us...
