U.S. Rep Bobby Rush lashes out at Chicago cops who were caught napping in his campaign office, drinking his coffee, and popping his popcorn while 'looters were tearing apart businesses' nearby

U.S. Representative Bobby Rush revealed Thursday that more than a dozen Chicago cops were caught on CCTV lounging in his campaign office and drinking coffee while nearby businesses were being looted.

Rush, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and police chiefs slammed the actions of the officers who were seen on their phones, making popcorn, and even napping after they were called to investigate a break-in at the office on June 1.

The congressman said the officers involved had 'unmitigated gall' to be taking a break there 'while looters were tearing apart businesses within their sight and within their reach'.

Mayor Lightfoot said that the incident was 'a personal embarrassment' and the officers would be punished.

It comes as the mayor teased 'monumental reforms' for the city's police department in the wake of the recent protests against police brutality.

Congressman Bobby Rush was a founder of the Black Panther Party, of which Black Lives Matter is the bastard stepchild.

NOW does the officers’ nonchalant behavior in his office make sense?
It certainly makes Rush’s stompyfooting a bit ironic, IMO.

Gosh, it’s almost like the cops in Chicago have lost interest in protecting the politicians who stab them in the back at every opportunity.

The word from the Second City Cop website was that those officers were ordered there to protect the Congressman’s campaign office and it was considered a fixed post assignment (as in stay there and do not leave). So the extent of their “crime” was drinking coffee and eating popcorn from the office after being on multiple 12+ hour shifts without a day off and without getting any food or getting an opportunity to take lunch during any of these days.

This Mayor BeetleGroot is an evil, hateful, bug-eyed LIAR.
