Neil Young has been angry since the 1950’s. Has he ever authored an uplifting song?
Dear Neil, anyone is allowed to play your music, its a free country(At least for a few more months that is)
Yes, excellent point.
Trump is one of the greatest trolls in history!
Horrible cover.
Young wrote some good ones but his mind was and is deranged.
Jimmy Page was an amazing guitarist but was a pedophile.
So was Speaker Dennis Hastert.
Ergo, people can do some noteworthy things but still be creeps, criminals.
Today Young is a total loser, complete flop, has-been and knows he can get a plug for verbally assaulting Trump and Trump supporters because it’s the ‘in thing’ to do and can get you $$$ if it’s played right.
Stupid argument. You cant play a recorded performance of a song without permission only if the performance is for a for-profit motive. Otherwise, people would be forbidden to play songs at school proms, parties with a DJ, or any other social gathering.
They played it for 30 seconds. Dont know what they were thinking, it was an anti POTUS GHW Bush Song.
I was wondering why President Trump was playing Neil Young songs. The guy’s a total proggy leftist from the get-go.
That was excellent....thank you for sharing.
I’m sure that royalties were paid to his fortune. Probably would do well do drop him and all of his music... if he feels that way about it.
You can BUY a blanket license with BMI & SESAC which allow you to be able to play ANY published recorded piece of music.
In the case of radio and TV practically ALL broadcast stations purchase such a license annually. It allows them the right to play anything covered by BMI & SESAC... which is nearly 99% of ALL music recorded
I'm guessing the Trump campaign has purchased such a license which makes it legal for them to play whatever they choose at the various events they stage.
So glad to hear you say that. I saw him perform at the Cow Palace in San Francisco in the early 80’s. An old friend loved him and begged me to go. The worst concert that I have ever been to. He was horrible, could not sing and had no interaction with his audience. It was painful, I still remember how happy I was when it was over. But I was nice and kept my mouth shut, I didn’t want to hurt my friend’s feelings.
The Song of the Dawn--Paul Whiteman
Here Comes the Sun--Ted Wallace & His Campus Boys
There's a New Day Coming--The Sam Ross Silvertown Orchestra
He’s been to Hollywood. He’s been to Redwood. He searched the ocean for a heart of gold.
Was he disappointed that no revolution followed Kent State, I wonder.
Nah. Make them squeal some more. It’s more entertaining to hear than their stupid songs.
Trolling the Bushies?
Well, Neil, I’m angry at you for being so shallow and predictable. You should open your eyes and look at the world and at reality.
Dump any wives lately Nile?
Did they pay the ASCAP fees for the songs? Then they had the right to used them.
