As the Washington football team continues to evaluate its Redskins name, it already has made a monumental decision moving forward. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the team has made the obvious decision to remove the Native American imagery from its logo.
ESPN's John Keim followed the initial report by stating that Washington plans to keep its colors of burgundy and gold "as of now."
Big-name retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Target, as well as Nike and Dicks Sporting Goods have removed Redskins merchandise from their websites. And on Thursday, FedEx -- which holds the naming rights to the teams Maryland stadium -- formally requested a name change. FedEx CEO Fred Smith has an ownership stake in the team.

What’s a native American?
Their species came about in North America? Because that’s the only thing that would make them native.
Lol - as if that will be enough to appease the mob.
Maybe Fred Smith should worry about delivering packages. At work we just got a machine part from Europe three days late and it cost us somewhere around 7500 dollars in lost work.
a native American is someone born and/or raised in America. Think of similar terms like Native Chicagoan or Native New Yorker. most people in the country are native Americans. Then there are the people who try to steal the term to make it mean something else.
The deal is done.
The Washington Monuments.
That figure was created by a member of the Blackfoot tribe.
Yeah, let’s do away with any influence from the actual people
proud to have their likeness on the logo.
Is there no one who will stand up to this tiny
minority of mental midgets.
I was betting on a red skin potato.
/never go full potato
They sprung up whole and complete one morning, just like mushrooms.
Finally clears the way for the Washington “Bitch Set Me Ups!”
.
Remove the Indian, insert the image of Marion Barry smoking crack with his side piece in a room at the Vista Hotel in D.C.
> to remove Native American imagery from logo
That’s racist!
The Washington Swampers
I thought they already went with the LGBTQ compliant logo a few years ago.

I just call them American Indians to distinguish from India Indians. Lol
I tell people if you were born in America you are a native American. The looks I get when I say that are priceless; as though I’m speaking heresy. Conservatives eventually get it. The few libs I know never do.
The crazy thing is I think most people don’t realize where the Indian logo for that team came from. It’s definitely not racist, it’s the same portrait of an Indian that was used on the Buffalo nickel, official currency of the U.S. before it was switched to Jefferson. Modeled after an actual Blackfeet chief, tt is widely considered one of the best coin designs done for American coinage, although they eventually ceased it because it was difficult to strike properly and also tended to wear badly. It had a positive connotation among the Blackfeet until political correctness started to poison everything.
