You've hit the nail on the head. Trump is the new Emmanuel Goldstein, from Orwell's "1984", the most hated man in the world and the epitome of all evil. Instead of the two-minute hate which the citizens took part in, there is the 24/7 media hate; a continuous drumbeat of slander, innuendos, and narratives all designed to make the president look like the worst human being who ever lived.
