PHOENIX — Senator Martha McSally has won her bid for the Republican seat in the Arizona primary election, according to the Associated Press, and will face Democrat Mark Kelly on the November ballot.
McSally faced a long-shot challenge from businessman Daniel McCarthy in Tuesday’s primary. Retired astronaut Mark Kelly faced only a write-in opponent for the Democratic nomination and was a shoo-in to win the primary.

Hoping that McSally uses this against Kelly. So far no candidate ads in Yavapai County mentions anything about gun control.
Just wonder how McSally will overcome the sympathy vote, especially whenever Kelly has his wife Gabby Gifford by his side, still bearing the obvious scars of when she was shot in the head years ago???

Arizona is a solid Republican state. Trump and McSally will carry by large margins.
yes, that has to be of concern. It will be especially hard to push on the 2nd amendment issues, because the liberals and media will push the sympathy angle.
I hope sympathy for Gabby Giffords doesn’t translate into votes for her husband. He’s become something of a poster boy for gun control just because of who his wife is.

Mcsally could not win the last time. I cant stand her but I will hold my nose and vote for her. Sadly I don’t see her winning.
We did our part by “demanding Daniel.”
One small example: We know two know-it-all uber-liberal college professors who left California (too expensive, don't ya know), and moved to AZ a few years ago. They will vote for any and all democRATs. They *hate* Trump and cannot wait to vote against him.
