Money talks, BS walks. I don’t think that the owners and the players have a clue about what is happening to them. They think that they will become folk heroes in the Woke world and will be praised for their behavior, so there is no downside from their perspective. They are about to find out that that thundering sound is the fan base walking away.

Stadiums are already empty or with limited in stadium fans, so those revenues are gone. The networks will not continue to pay at high ratings level when the low ratings become the norm. The advertisers will start to bail right away, so the networks will take a bath until they can renegoitiate the TV contract.

I am a diehard Chiefs fan, so I watched most of the Thursday game, muting all of the ads, but I skipped the weekend games and will not watch tonight’s game. The top teams like the Chiefs will make it through this, but the weak teams are in trouble, and the league is blowing this one.

So you watched the game? Sheeze man, you sold out and I mean that, you’re as bad as the woke crowd. Anyone still watching the NFL is not on my side.

The NFL is not going to renegotiate with the networks. They bought it. They own it, whether they have to kick rebates to their advertisers or not. Since they are as woke as the NFL is they’ll likely agree to eat the losses in order to sustain the narrative.

That can’t go on forever, but I’m guessing there is enough cash already built into this system to sustain the illusion for several seasons.

Most of the fans are local team diehard fans. I’m diehard Cowboys since the Dandy Don days as a little kid. I could care less about Chiefs, or Bucs, or Jets. But I see the larger picture in all this and that if the diehard fans support their teams, the ratings dont change, sponsors dont get scared, the Networks don’t start choking off the money train, and the tone deaf league owners think pissing on the flag is OK and BLM terrorists are acceptable. You can do what you want, but the fact is this is a cancer that is destroying the game. Accept it and root for the hometeam and it will only get worse. Boycott, and the financial burdens wake the owners and we get the game back to what it was. Short term pain for long term gain for those of us that love the game and want the politics out of it!

Fan attendance started declining with Kaperduck started taking a knee and others followed. That was, what 2016? The camera men quit showing empty stands and only focused on the action on the field. So short term, the teams can blame low attendance on the covid. Wait until there are no more restrictions.

Colin and his followers (owners, players) started a financial tsunami that will eat them all and they have no idea of what is coming.
