When you consider that many people have been STARVING for some real, live sports - not just highlights of the last 50 years, this tells you that the BLM/WOKE theme is hurting the NFL much worse than the ratings for yesterday would suggest.
It always helps when they back a movement and that group stands outside a hospital chanting we hope they die to 2 cops shot.
A sure ratings boost.
My husband was dying to tune in to watch the cowboys, but he just couldn’t do it after the horrendous shooting of the 2,CA police!! He is finished with those thugs!! FINISHED!! Screw them!!
Agreed, although I'm sure other excuses will be made. There are always excuses from the left/woke.
Exactly, nothing to watch for sports and then a 28% drop on opening weekend! NFL has a major issue! Seven months no football (off season) and then the new seasons starts. WOW 28% drop in viewership!

People have been in lockdown (or semi-lockdown) for half a year now. Many were STARVED for some live NFL football. The ratings should have been UP 30-50%.
