The Islamic State is telling its followers to ignite destructive forest fires in the United States and Europe.

As California continues to grapple with powerful fires that have forced hundreds of thousands to evacuate, a pro-ISIS media outlet called Quraysh has reportedly released propaganda posters urging adherents to “ignite fires.”

According to the Middle East Media Research Institute, the first of the posters began circulating in April and the latest appeared on Monday.

The institute, which monitors and tracks communications in radical groups, said the translation on the April poster read, “Oh monotheists [ISIS followers], ignite fires in the forests and fields, and we are addressing especially those who live in Europe and America, for they are painful to them.”

The latest poster singled out individual countries in Europe as well, telling followers to “Ignite fires in the forests of America, France, Britain, and Germany, for they are painful to them.”

Last week, Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom declared a statewide emergency over the spate of fires. Pacific Gas and Electric has used targeted blackouts in high-wind areas as a way to stop more forest fires and millions have been left without power.

Here's a more recent flashback from July:

A new video released by ISIS terrorists urges followers in America to begin a campaign of arson attacks. The four minute-long video is the first new marching orders in a long time from ISIS' propaganda wing, pushing followers to fight fire with fire, literally. . .: New ISIS video calls for arson attacks on U.S. (07/28/2020)

They have comrades in place on the West Coast experienced with this:

During the past several years, special interest extremism, as characterized by the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) and the Earth Liberation Front (ELF), has emerged as a serious terrorist threat. . .The most destructive practice of the ALF/ELF is arson. The ALF/ELF members consistently use improvised incendiary devices equipped with crude but effective timing mechanisms. These incendiary devices are often constructed based upon instructions found on the ALF/ELF websites. The ALF/ELF criminal incidents often involve pre-activity surveillance and well-planned operations. Members are believed to engage in significant intelligence gathering against potential targets, including the review of industry/trade publications, photographic/video surveillance of potential targets, and posting details about potential targets on the internet. . .The ALF and the ELF have jointly claimed credit for several raids including a November 1997 attack of the Bureau of Land Management wild horse corrals near Burns, Oregon. . .On 12/27/1998, the ELF claimed responsibility for the arson at the U.S. Forest Industries Office in Medford, Oregon, where damages exceeded five hundred thousand dollars. Other arsons in Oregon, New York, Washington, Michigan, and Indiana have been claimed by the ELF. . .: The Threat of Eco-Terrorism (2002)

Between 1995 and 2010, there were a total of 239 arsons and bombings committed by these groups, with 55% attributed to ELF and 45% to ALF. Of these 239 incidents, 62% were bombings, and 38% were arsons. The vast majority of all incidents, 66%, occurred in the West.: An Overview of Bombing and Arson Attacks by Environmental and Animal Rights Extremists in the United States, 1995-2010 (2013)

Palestinian Marxists and fascists advocated starting forest fires in the US a long time ago, as far back as the 1970’s if I recall correctly.

While I don’t have a copy of “The Anarchist’s Cookbook”, I’ve read a little from it as well as other Marxist terrorists manuals including the Mayday Manual and Carlos Mariguello’s “Manual” on urban guerrilla warfare.

Arson has always had a tactical place in their operations, if only to draw firemen to a blaze and then shoot them.

The problem today is that we don’t shoot arsonists. Period. Take out about a dozen all over the country, with some of them wounded and being burned alive by their own devices, and arson will become less a weapon of choice.

The only way to fight “fire” is with “return fire”, bigger, better and more accurate.

Peter Maury Bergman, who wrote the introduction to The Anarchist Cookbook, was with the original Antifa in Germany in the 1930s.
