If you are blocking traffic or interfering with any other mode of transportation you are not engaged in a “peaceful protest”. Surrounding a car or preventing it from moving is kidnapping.
The driver in this case should be able to sue all the corporations funding BLM for any dent repairs and paint touch-ups needed.

Sorry, not all of us are woke enough not to panic and hit the accelerator and squish you. Are these folks that stupid or maybe it is possible some of them may start to have second thoughts about harassing innocent people ? BLM wait until there are no police. No ambulance or Fire truck will come without police protection so you will be on your own. Police will no longer be there to protect you. Remember what goes around comes around.
For this specific case, I think it best to withhold judgement as to why the pedestrian was blocking the vehicle, and why the driver ran into them. It is possible there was a good reason for the moment to block the vehicle. It is possible the driver did not realize the pedestrian was there.
However, in the general pattern of vehicles being surrounded by mobs who are yelling and acting aggressively, I do not think the mobs deserve to be called "protesters"--which implies they are engaged in convincing others through rhetoric. Rather I think terms like "agitators", "mobs", "aggressors", "rage mob", "thug" or the like is more accurate and deserved. They are trying to intimidate and terrify others into bending the knee to their point of view.
