I think about this. We have boomers, attack subs , AC carrier groups, foreign bases nuclear and conventional air wings + missile systems . those assets would need to stay capable and vigilant. How does that work.

Communists in control or not but it’s interesting to think about.

It may just come time to preemptive knock factions to the grave for national survival. Depends on who has the will / power.
