I don’t disbelieve it but the picture of the e-mail didn’t look like a real e-mail.
I believe the original article said Senate Republicans were investigating to see if it’s legit, but other than that blurb I haven’t found anything on the status.
In the best circumstances, forensic computer information retrieval can sometimes take a very long time. That’s assuming they have the actual drive and not the copy the guy in the repair shop made. Might be a loooong wait to see if any determination can even be made at all.
(But that would be nothing new.)
