The interesting thing to note about this one is the blips that happened at the beginning and middle of May for dementia and circulatory causes. It would be very easy to mistake a COVID death for one of those if you didn't know what you were looking for or simply had no way to test. Once COVID tests became available, suddenly those numbers went right back to normal.
All this adds up to regular causes of death being at normal levels when measured against the previous 5 years. But we still have a number of excess deaths as shown here:
