Joe Biden Reiterates Plan to Ban ‘Assault Weapons,’ ‘High Capacity’ Magazines
Breitbart ^ | 1 Nov 2020 | AWR HAWKINS

Posted on 11/01/2020 4:19:58 PM PST by Mr. Mojo

Former Vice President Joe Biden doubled down on his calls to ban “assault weapons” and “high capacity” magazines and to institute other gun controls on the final Sunday of his 2020 presidential campaign.

Biden’s campaign wrote on his officialvTwitter account: “As president, I’ll ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, implement universal background checks, and enact other common-sense reforms to end our gun violence epidemic.”

Breitbart News reported that Biden’s proposals not only contain a ban on the future manufacture of AR-15s and other firearms the Democrats label “assault weapons” but also a provision that could require every AR-15 rifle to be registered under the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA). Unless there was some form of carve-out, this could mandate that American gun owners pay a $200 federal tax for each AR-15 that they own.

Other gun proposals being pushed by Biden include:

- A provision that could ban online sales of ammunition, guns, and gun parts.

-A pledge to revive the Social Security gun ban, which targeted benefit recipients who needed help managing their finances. The ban was adopted during the last full month of the Obama presidency and repealed during the first full month of the Trump presidency.

- A provision that would limit Americans a one-gun-a-month purchase maximum. The Biden campaign website says, “Biden supports legislation restricting the number of firearms an individual may purchase per month to one.”

- A push to incentivize states to license would-be gun owners. Biden’s campaign website says, “Biden will enact legislation to give states and local governments grants to require individuals to obtain a license prior to purchasing a gun.”

I’ll go a step further with a hypothetical. This involves a question that should be answered in advance.

Have you read about the denazification program? The information is here, if you’re interested. Everyone should be for the purpose of this consideration.

Denazification, cumulative review. Report, 1 April 1947-30 April 1948.
http://digital.library.wisc.edu/1711.dl/History.Denazi

Now, consider that possibility that President Trump can be reelected, but we end up with a Democrat Senate majority. Have you thought about what will happen then? If the thought of that situation doesn’t fill you with dread, think again. Think about the one action that Democrats would want to take the most.

And think about a horrid consequence of that action that would directly affect us all in horrible ways. So here’s the question.

Were we wrong to carry out the Denazification program? Would it be wrong to take such harmful collectives out of sensitive positions in the States (education, media and all), if needed in order to prevent the same horrid sequence of events from happening again?

If that scenario will be considered and decided upon, the considerations should start now, just in case. Would taking fascists who’ve attempted to overthrow our government out of positions of influence be right or wrong? Because you know that doing so would precede many such projections from fascists against the victim: the American people.

It wouldn’t fly in Maine’s Second Congressional district either.....80% of the state and at 27,000 square miles, the largest congressional district in the U.S. east of the Mississippi, in area.

This area is VERY strong Second Amendment territory, with concealed carry, Constitution carry, private sales of firearms, etc.

Michael Bloomturd managed to get an initiative on the ballot in 2016 here in Maine that would have banned the private sales of firearms. The police chiefs ran commercials in favor of it....the elected sheriffs ran commercials, in uniform, opposed to it.

On election night 2016, Bloomturd and his minions were defeated by the voters of Maine, and candidate Trump won the Second District by 10 points, earning him an electoral vote.

Aren’t all items used in the commission of an assault considered an “assault weapon”?

Man biden is going to banning everything from high heels to hammers to bats to fists. The list is long for assault weapons.

"And many sherrifs wont enforce."

According to their political selves. They'll enforce and go further than that. I've had some experience. There are many laws and common practices that very few people outside of law enforcement know about (e.g., searches in rooms involving arrest for the ostensible purpose of safety, extensions into remaining areas of houses). And there are many funded partnerships between federal government and the states (see Clinton Administration strategy).

That’s exactly right. The smartest play is just wait another few generations until we are farther down the cultural slope. Don’t push any one outrageous law too soon and so trigger people risking all they have to stop it, or even triggering a meaningful political backlash. The people who would actually risk everything would decrease every year. In 2090 they probably won’t care if they take those old guns, much less getting off the virtual reality couch to do anything about it.

I don’t know if they are that smart. If they grab total political power now, they might not be able to hold back. But it’s not like they are known for pulling any one outrageous thing too soon, there’s a reason they didn’t come out with ‘gay marriage’ in 1980 or abortion in 1920.

The antisocial idiots who fantasize that they’ll be “grandfathered in” are one of the worst threats to our nation. If they can’t understand what it is to be Americans standing with their grandchildren and neighbors, they need to get their heads out of the carcasses of their so recently foreign grandfathers and start learning now.

Or they’ll soon find themselves in a forsaken country like those of their grandfathers. And they won’t survive the outcome.

Texas? Here’s Texas. Very unconstitutional. And yes, this is about a serious violation of our Second Amendment. The Supreme Court refused to hear it and let the violation stand.
